Me 5.0

Maybe it's the cold weather, maybe it's the December festival lurching towards us, maybe it's my impending "large" birthday, or maybe I'm just sick of that buying and decluttering cycle.

Over the past couple of months we've been on a charity shop diet, which has stopped a lot of things. I've uninstalled the most tempting of the shopping apps, I subscribed to YouTube Premium so I see no ads (other than sponsored content) and I've just started to use all the junk I already own.

At one point I really wanted these clothes, shoes, accessories, carrots, or pieces of sludgy studio pottery, so let's make the most of them. Even if it means going to extreme lengths - like making soup, which I have done, the carrots are used up and the jar of five spice I bought for a recipe now long forgotten is finally open.

Oh, and I've had my hair restyled, where once was a bob is now something that, if I'm being honest, makes me look a bit like Paul McCartney, is he a Sir? Sir Paul. Do I have hat hair? Did I wake up like this? Have I been dragged through a hedge backwards? Is it intentional? You'll never know.

  3. Hair sounds interesting. It's good to have a change now and then. I get the charity shop diet. I could do to go on one myself, but I do like a good mooch now and then.

Each to their own goes without saying.
