Or do I just find it difficult?
That's what I've started to ask myself about things, because it tends to happen when things are new. In the case of sashiko, I just didn't enjoy it. In the case of resistance exercises and jigsaws, it's just that they're currently difficult.
I didn't increase the weight of my dumbbells for quite some time because I didn't want exercise to be hard, but then I knew I was doing myself a disservice because workouts were just too easy. Now, I don't exactly look forward to exercising, but I do enjoy finishing them.
Same with my jigsaw, as well as the question of how on earth do I remain physically comfortable when doing this, I have to ask myself is this task genuinely boring, or is it I just haven't found a way in yet. I'm still undecided about that one.
I'm terrible at increasing my weights at the gym. Sometimes I'm forced to if my usual weight aren't available and I find although it's hard, I feel like I've worked out better. I just can't bring myself to do it everytime.
ReplyDeleteI find that jigsaws are best completed little by little. I can't say that I've ever lifted weights. Xx
ReplyDeleteI get annoyed with jigsaws!!! Not done weights! I do hate running though!
