I've been saying I have no resolutions this year, but there's a book pile, and I want to get through it. Two books in particular are hanging over me. Progress has been made on both, but it's very slow. It's not that they're not well written, enjoyable or any of that, they just seem to be adding pages on every time I read.
I aim to have finished the first one by the end of the week.
My other aims are not to use my phone while walking and not to eat standing up.
Last year I decided not to finish books that didn't "grab" me. Life became so much easier. I'm also trying to add "the walk away" approach to other things in my life.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, I get most of my fiction books from the library for this reason, if I don't like it then back it goes.
DeleteI'm terrible for using my phone when walking, especially when I'm out with the dog. I should just focus on the walk with her, but I'm sometimes tempted to get on my phone and it does diminish my enjoyment of the walk and probably hers too.
ReplyDeleteIt's so easy to get sucked into it. I've recently started wearing a watch so I don't need to rely on my phone for the time.
