A Charity Shop Haul To Start The New Year

Inspired by this post  I'm sharing my charity shop haul from last weekend, I've even pinched the title! Just three things this time round.

I went shopping somewhere I'd never looked before, Garstang, between Preston and Lancaster. Only one thing for me, even though the shops had some fantastic stock at pretty good prices.

A Twentieth Century Society book about churches, £1. We then headed into Lancaster.

Brown boots, originally New Look, £8. I bought these to wear at the charity shop, that is now not relevant (but that's another story) so now they're just a nice pair of boots.

Quilting bag. It doesn't look it, but this bag is large - comes to about knee height. I saw it a few weeks ago for a tenner, and nearly bought it then. Picked it up for £5 at the weekend, plenty of room for all my supplies, and fits neatly between my chair and side table.

  2. Thanks for linking my post. Nice boots. The book looks interesting and I just love the quilting bag. Sounds perfect for us quilters, to keep things tidy. I could do with something similar myself. Such a bargain too.

  3. I've not had any luck with charity shops recently, but seeing your haul has made me think it might be time to check them out again!

    1. I've been far more choosy with the shops I visit and it's working well for me. Good luck on your next shopping trip!

Each to their own goes without saying.
