All Is Bright

A while ago I mentioned dull skin, and since then I've tried a couple of products. I'd tried a couple of products before but this time I genuinely thought about it, to the extent that a couple of weeks ago I used one product on one side of my face and another on the other side and asked The Chap to judge.

These are both cheap and cheerful products, easily available and are both added to the this actually works list, along with the cracked heel balm I love from Superdrug (not for my face obviously).

Top of the list, and not featured, is the Edelweiss range from Body Shop, I had the Bouncy Jelly Mist and it really does give that dewy look. I don't pass by a Body Shop all that often and it is a teeny bit more expensive, although still affordable at £18. My two budget offerings are

From the Naturally Radiant range at Superdrug, this 2 in 1 is very light and gives a fresh glow to my skin, without making me feel like I'm super shiny. It does have a noticeable herbal fragrance, which The Chap really likes and comments whenever I use it. At £8.99 it's a pretty good price, and is often on a buy one get one free, or buy one get one half price, which is even better.

The winner in my half face competition was this

Boots Glow Essence, £5. It's light, smells nice gives a lovely glow, just what I'm after, although the bottle does roll away when photographed.

If you're looking for something to give a little brightness, these may work for you too. My skin is a little sensitive, but generally normal and I don't wear any foundation or concealer on my face, so the skincare has to do it all!

  1. Interesting - thank you. I'll try to remember to give that a go when I need to buy a replacement. xx

Each to their own goes without saying.
