On Friday I will be half way through the 10 week Epic exercise series, I first mentioned it longer than 5 weeks ago but I did the beginner week twice, because I didn't think I was ready, then went on holiday. I was quite right, I wasn't ready for the full thing, but I'm doing it anyway.
For the past few days I have started off feeling pretty weak and barely able to keep up, but eventually it ends and the rest of the day unfolds as usual.
I'm learning a lot, but the main thing so far is how much of it is mental. I've heard that before of course, but never really thought about it, but there is a gap, a gap between what my brain tells me is my stopping point and my actual stopping point. It's been a bit of a game changer, in exercise and in general life.
Noticing the difference between not wanting to do vs not being able to do it, not liking something vs just not being good at something or finding it hard, thinking I can't do something vs trying and sometimes failing but sometimes finding it's possible.
And those abs, said I'd heard of her but never met her, actually quite fun to spend time with.

Each to their own goes without saying.
