Rings of Steel

I'm not into jewellery or trinkets, well I am into trinkets, but let's pretend. I received a bit of cash for my birthday and wanted to spend it on something to remember. It all started with this statue, and then went a bit corten crazy.

My lovely butterfly statue when it arrived in late January. I'd wanted a water feature for a while, so I splashed out on a water bowl

So this, artfully taken from a upstairs window, is how the garden looked in Feb/March

Then circles entered the equation. I have a scrap piece of paper on my desk where I jot notes when I read something on a blog, or see something on YouTube, and I saw something about removing the original imprint of the garden and changing some shapes. As the pebble former lawn was looking more than a bit scruffy I decided on a smaller, round pebble area. Behold the expert plan drawn using a stick and some string, all created around some foxgloves.

By the end of March we had our circle, a surplus of pebbles and perfectly protected foxgloves.

and I'm still leaning out of the window

Maybe not quite a circle, but near enough. Time to think about plants.
