Domestic Something

Probably not bliss quite yet.

The plumbers left on Friday. They will be back tomorrow though as they managed to put a chip in the shower tray. Other than that everything looks beautiful, shame the shower doesn't work. All in all I've not been right happy.

What is making me happy is getting back to normal elsewhere in the house. The living area is back to normal, we decided to not bring the tatty old green armchairs back from the garage so my armchairs from the dining area have be put in their place.

It's been a very fresh, sunny day today so I am also happy to see lots of laundry flapping around in the breeze. Bit by bit the house is improving, I'll laugh about these setbacks at some point won't I?

    1. We've had so much difficulty even getting someone to do the work I don't know what else we could have done!

  3. Your room looks so stylish! Our house is in disarray. The spare room still isn't finished as we had a change of plan mid way, so paint pots etc are being stored in the kitchen and there's a bed frame in the conservatory. On top of that we have made a start on the garden. Some major hacking back has happened and there are mountains of greenery everywhere. We are off in a couple of weeks and a large skip will be needed!

    1. Thank you so much.

Progress often doesn't look much like progress! I know what you mean about the garden, for the past couple of years we have had piles of greenery filling the patio behind the garage, with many trips to the tip and full green bins!

  4. Oh I love your lounge! What a great space.
Hope all in the bathroom is sorted soon, it's awful having your house taken over!

    1. Thank you. I'm sure everything will be sorted soon, it was just a real disappointment to finally have a new shower and it not work properly. I'm sure it's a simple fix.

    1. The windows in the house are great, the living area is great, especially in winter when there's not much sunlight around.

  8. Thank you. I am always delighted when washing can hang outside to dry at this time of year.
