In The Window

I haven't shared a charity shop window display for a little bit, so here's the one for this week. As ever, there's plenty of glare but you get the idea.

I did an extra shift yesterday as the back room was in such a state I said I'd help give it a tidy up. I focused on the shelves where all the window props live and found some very exciting things I'd never seen before that I can use for the winter festival window. Plenty of things went into the bin - we sell and recycle what we can but some things just have to go! I can imagine it'll be just as bad again when I start my shift next week, but for one afternoon it looked better.

I was the best shift I'd done in the shop, when I started all I wanted to do was to work in the back, processing stock but was told I couldn't do that, so I ended up stuck behind the till. I very much dislike working in the shop but there you go. I've told both managers how I feel about the matter but there's no-one to replace me in the front so I think my fun shifts will be few and far between.

Never to worry. Here's the window.

  1. I love your window posts. Your window is huge compared to the shops ive worked in. Great job.

    1. Thank you. It is a big window which is great as it makes the shop so light. I would like to be able to plan the windows and set things aside, like some of the really fancy displays you see around. But we have no space to store things and if I did stash things someone would go through the bag and sell the things anyway!

    1. Thank you. It's quite hard as I have to create it just from what's in the shop on that day but I enjoy the challenge.

    1. Thank you, our stand-in manager decided to put the bric a brac shelving into the window a little while ago, I think it's a great idea.
