Is It About The Bunny?

Maybe not for Hawk, but for me the house is all about the bunny. I had a look around and did manage to find one or two rabbits hanging about the place. I admit I do make a bit of an effort to not look like a mad bunny woman though.

This poor guy was the victim of an unprovoked attack at the teeth of another rabbit

There are buns in the dining area

A group are relaxing halfway up the stairs, with a hedgehog and some seahorses

some have taken themselves to bed

And of course there's this pair, not as cute as some, but we love them

  1. The only bun I owned, when I was quite a small child, was a large white (suspect albino) as I remember him having red/pink eyes. He had a proper name which I can not recall but was 'affectionately' known as TDR. They stood for 'That Damn Rabbit'. A 'name' frequently yelled by my father who upon finding the rabbit had hopped up on him and wee-ed on his lap would flick the rabbit off, leap up with drenched trousers and yell ...yes you guessed it ...That Damn Rabbit! My childhood claim to fame was me cheerfully broadcasting this gem of a story on a live children's TV programme. My parents just shrank in embarrassed horror in the green room with the other parents watching on! This particular rabbit also had a strange obsession for drinking a certain commercial fizzy drink, often shoving his face into a glass and getting covered in the bubble spray on his face.

    1. Awwww, that makes me so sad, I would give anything for one of mine to want to sit on my lap.

I know what you mean about the drink, buns are sooooooo nosy and will shove their heads into any glass or cup left nearby!

  2. We kept getting two white rabbits in our garden in Scotland - I am sure they were domestic ones that had escaped. The brown wild ones would chase them away so we named them Bunny no mates. sadly on this visit they were no where to be seen - perhaps been recaptured?

    1. Yes it sounds like they've escaped or been dumped, let's choose to believe they were recaptured!

    1. Thank you, I don't think they would win any beauty contests but I think they're gorgeous!

    1. I probably would sneak in a few more, but it's pretty obvious how much I love my mini beasts!
