I Can Do That!

After having a bad dream (I moved to the countryside), I heard the trailer for a show on BBC World Service about a former art forger, I think it may have been  John Myatt. When talking about forging the paintings he commented that, like the artists, he also had two eyes and two hands so why couldn't he imitate their work?

It made me think, I'm absolutely average in every way, there are lots of everyday things that other people manage to do that I could be better at, and asked myself am I prepared to put some extra time and effort in to getting something close to what I'm after. What I'm after at the moment is to not have to donate three dresses. I made a promise that if these three dresses didn't fit when party season comes around in December then they were out.

Ambitions can start small and from a place of vanity, I'll think of a grander scheme when I'm exercising and not eating biscuits!

  1. I have a wardrobe with two sizes as I fluctuate between the two, I would be forever having to buy new clothes if I didn't. At the moment I am in the bigger size but working towards getting into the smaller ones.

    1. I think lots of people have multiple sizes in their wardrobe don't they, weight can so easily fluctuate. I'm trying to not keep too many things that I can expand into!

  2. I'm sorry, I'm still giggling from your nightmare of moving to the countryside. X

    1. Urgh, I shudder to think about it. The countryside is very nice to look at, and I'm glad it exists, but I don't want to spend any time in it!

  3. After my last visit to the doctor I found out my cholesterol is a bit on the high side. Since neither of us wish to start a regimen of tablets right away, both the doctor and I decided diet and exercise. The exercise I can take....The no unhealthy snacks is just about killing me.

    Good luck with your plan.

    God bless.

    1. I understand Jackie. I am a snacker and giving them up would be a struggle. Best of luck with it, hopefully you won't crave them so much when you get used to your new way of eating, it will be worth it to avoid the medication.
