Junk In My Trunk

And everywhere else.

Although I'm quite slim I am exceptionally unfit and a bit flabby. I had been making a few changes to the way I do things after someone I work with basically told me I have a fat bum. I do have a fat bum, in fact I mentioned it recently, but it's not big enough to require the size of dress she held up. So, I am starting very gently, mainly on my exercise bike, but also using the Wii Fit, I like the hula-hooping. I decided to use the Wii today as I'm waiting in for a parcel and didn't want to miss it by being upstairs on the bike when they turned up.

The batteries on the controller were running low, so I set off to look for some more. I found batteries, I also found some other items that Dan had put away. This is not husband shaming, as I take some responsibility for what I found. I'm well known for being messy and disorganised, Dan likes things to be put away. However, even though it might take me a (long) while, when things are dealt with they are dealt with, I don't tend to stash and dash. Apparently, Dan does, he just wants things to be away

This is what remains of the drawer under the single bed in Dan's dressing room. The runners are buckled and the front has snapped off. I took everything out and decided to deal with it while I waited for both my parcel and for the batteries to charge.

All that in one drawer!

The batteries and charger, a laptop, three keyboards and other assorted things. We have a box of techno junk under the stairs already.

My least favourite thing to have hanging around, wrapping paper. We already have a cupboard containing wrapping paper and bubble wrap, this is all bonus content.

A selection of board games.

Paper, and documents for a suitcase we no longer own.

Large bags, for all those holidays we don't take.

Presents for our nieces.

And some assorted nonsense.

My parcel isn't here and I still haven't done any exercise.

  1. I think sorting through that little lot is exercise enough! At least you found the batteries. X

  2. Wow, I am quite surprised you get that much in one drawer, your hubby is certainly good at packing it all in.

    1. I'd have been more impressed had he not broken it!

  3. Wow, that's a lot of stuff from underneath a single bed. I can't tell you how many plugs/adapters/technical accessories we have in the house "just in case". I have a thing about wires and technology and it makes me feel ill if I think about it too much. Thankfully Mark is just as good at stuffing things in places I can't see as Dan seems to be so I don't have to look at it :) xx

    1. I know we have the box under the stairs, and I seem to think he's stashing some old phones somewhere too.

Other than the picture, I dealt with everything yesterday so it wasn't too bad.

  4. When people comment on my appearance, either positively or negatively, I say thank you and tell them it was kind of them to notice. Doesn’t have confuse them if the comment was negative. What a lot of stuff was in that drawer-I’m like you in how I deal with things-no stashing away put of sight. I’m making yet more bunting for pur charity project window and it’s taking more time than I thought. Happy days!

    1. Enjoy making the bunting!

It took me so long to declutter all my hoarded stuff (9 months) that I don't want to have to do something like that ever again, it's so exhausting I just can't cope with it these days.
