Freebie and Bargain of the Week

Not much to report this week.

Dan came home with assorted teas, passed on by a work colleague. We in turn passed some on to others and left ourselves with a couple of packs.

I picked up a few books from the library

I want to cosy up the spare bedroom, so hopefully I'll find some inspiration here. Also hoping to get inspiration for the menu plan next month. That's about it, a nice simple week.

    1. Thanks, I do like to pass things on when I can.

The books are both really nice to browse and enjoy a cup of tea.

  2. Simple weeks are good. I get inspiration but am not good at pulling off the looks. Good luck with the refresh.

    1. There's nothing in there that's my style, but that's why I chose it, sometimes other ways of decorating make something jump out that I wouldn't think of otherwise.

  4. I like the sound of the home comforts book - we are just getting to the nice bits of decorating the furnishings for my younger daughters old room - she hasn't seen it yet - it is so different it will be a shock - a pleasant one I hope but we couldn't leave it as a museum to her childhood days!
I have never heard of Cheshire tea - only good old Yorkshire.
No doubt you will be posting any meal creations you find in the cookbook - look forward to seeing pics.

    1. That sounds exciting, hope she likes it.

I've never had Cheshire Tea before, should be interesting. When we bought teabags we used to buy Lancashire Tea, that's really nice.

I will certainly post up any recipes I try from the book. I need to get back into the swing of photographing some of my meals, I've fallen out of the habit.

    1. All the recipes are meat free and most are, or could be adapted to be suitable for vegans.
