When You Wish You'd Never Asked

Yesterday at the charity shop I asked the manager if there was anything specific she wanted me to do today. She thought about it then said she didn't like the look of the front of the shop so if I could put my thinking cap on and rearrange it. By the front of the shop she means all the ladieswear, including shoes and accessories i.e most of our stock.

"You're creative, use your imagination" she said. Then her brow furrowed and she asked "do you wish you'd not said anything?"

Erm, a little bit!

  2. That sounds like an "open mouth, insert foot" moment. The only thing to do is grin and bear it.

  3. I know what you mean. I'm like that with my Mother in law, and then she'll get an idea for some task that is business at best, waste of time and energy at worst.

    1. It was a huge job, I only scratched the surface really. It took half the shift to deal with all the items that needed to be taken from the rails, off the hangers and bagged up to go to another shop, let alone to do anything to improve the shop.

  6. Hope some inspiration came. Here we have several charity shops in our town. Whilst all the charity shops sort by sizes the Princess Alice range also have rails according to colour which I like. Good luck with the challenge.

    1. Ideas I had plenty, time not as much!

We arrange by colour and size which I prefer. Plus we have size cubes in different colours, some shops have all black size cubes and that's way too much like hard work for me when I'm browsing!

    1. Hi Sammie, great to see you here, so glad you're blogging again.

I made a start on the clothing but it's a huge job, way too much for one person in half a day.
