Splashing Out

The charity shop must have influenced me this week as I find myself this morning with empty cupboards and buckets of hot soapy water.

I can't remember the last time I bought a bottle of bleach, but I bought some on the way home last night and today the kitchen is getting a deep clean. It could take a little while, but the weather's not good so I'm not going anywhere!

  1. You're making me feel very guilty. There's nothing quite so satisfying as deep cleaning your kitchen cupboards. Maybe next week for me. Good luck with your deep clean.

    1. Oh never feel guilty, I'm doing it because it more than needs it, I'm not cleaning something that's already pristine!

  2. I love the pattern on the plate and jug, do you know what the design is called?

I hope the worst of the weather misses you. We have 'snow' on the way which is a euphemism for slush and ice!

    1. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's just going to be rain for us, although it has been pretty windy. Hope the bad weather doesn't stay with you for too long.

The jug is Midwinter Sienna, and the plate is Kathie Winkle "Viscount". HTH

    3. We inherited the plates, but the jug was from a charity shop, it is a lovely design and as you say easy to get hold of for not too much money.

  3. I am ignoring the cupboards at the moment, everywhere will get a thorough clean before we move out.
