I Tried

Last night Dan very politely requested that we have a few winter themed decorations up in the house. Of course I agreed because the axis of the Earth doesn't go straight through me. So i made a start today.

Unfortunately I am not very well at the moment so I am currently sitting with a cup of tea, watching as the decorations fall over and onto the floor. Whatever stays up can stay, I'll pick everything else up eventually, or a rabbit will chew it. Something will happen any way.

Oh dear.

  1. I hope you're feeling much better soon. Keep warm and drink plenty of tea. I do love your little festive touches. The trees are adorable. Did you make them? X

    1. Thank you. I think I am coming out the other side. I was probably too ill to go to the gig on Saturday, so I was totally wiped out on Sunday and yesterday.

I did make the trees, They are so simple to make, I think I wrote about it, if I did I'll mention it in my next post.

  2. Ha, can't put up too much in my house either or the cats play with it and also chew it!

    1. Thank you. We're nearly done now, then I can stash the box away and not think about it for a while.

  5. I hope you're feeling better today. I love the house on your mantel. My tree has fallen over twice already it's way too big for the pot so Lovejoy has now lashed it to the patio door handle lol.

    1. Thank you, I am certainly on the way to being better.

I am so glad to hear I'm not the only one with decorating issues! I love the house so much, it had little lights in the windows too so it's very pretty. I think we only paid £12.99 for it, so it didn't break the bank.

  6. Hope you're feeling better today :)
We're halfway there with the decorations, I like the Father Christmases Grotto look myself! Your decorations are lovely. Do the buns have decorations? Ours have a crocheted chain garland. I tried paper chains one year and they were remarkably good and waited about ten days to pull them down!

    1. Thank you, I'm getting there. No-one told me I looked terrible yesterday so that's a good sign!

The buns don't officially have decorations but I do tend to find bits of tinsel and wrapping paper in the pen, so they snaffle bits away. I love that your pair have a little garland.

  7. Get better soon. If you don't feel like decorating, I would leave it until I did.

    God bless.

    1. Thank you.

If I left it until I felt like it then nothing would happen!!!
