The Window

facing outside
As promised here are some pictures of the small window at the shop. It took a long time, I found it really hard to find the right things, but it's done for another week. As I said yesterday there was too much glare to take a picture through the glass, so I squeezed into the corners to capture as much as I could!

The area that faces the front of the shop is pretty small, with space for only one model, so I cram it full of other bits and bobs, not very full this week as we are in desperate need of bric-a-brac.

The main section is a longer thing area leading into the shop, it's only a couple of feet wide.

The green skirt is absolutely gorgeous, not for me though as it's 100% silk.

A bit of detail

So that's that!

  2. I think I missed something. Do you own a shop, or is this a charity shop that you manage? You make a stunning display-I love window displays.

    1. Thank you. I have been a volunteer at this charity shop for around two and a half years. It's only been my job for the past few weeks to dress the side window.

  4. Lovely job. The green skirt is beautiful but like you pure silk is not for me.

    God bless.

  5. Very creative. It looks fab. I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to do this at some point, although the shop I work in doesn't have any models. I like the dress at the front. Great print. You obviously have a talent for this kind of thing.

    1. Thank you. I really only have the job as I took it upon myself to do it when the manager was off ill. The dress at the front is so nice, it still has the original tags on too.

  6. Great clothes, nothing like our charity shops. I also recognise a skirt in your selection that I donated to a local charity a while back. You've got good taste.

    1. Thank you. I know I would say this but I think our window is the best charity shop display in the town (and we have a lot of charity shops!). I love that skirt, I was so disappointed it's not my size.

  8. Our assistant manager is a whizz at dressing up the windows - everything colour co-ordinated and looking lovely. I make do with displaying the bric-a-brac - just not as artistic as her - and you of course. The window is full of the joys of spring - roll on more warm weather.

    1. Thanks you. I do the bric a brac too. Tuesday is for doing the window and tidying the bric a brac, Wednesday is for tidying the shoes and handbags, then the kitchenware.

I am very much enjoying the gorgeous weather this week.

  10. It is beautiful!!! Very well done to you for that!!! It is especially hard if you have a dearth of a certain type of object needed to fill a space so that is v cool!!

  11. It all looks lovely. I can imagine how hard it is trying to bring a window together when you're working with donated items but you've pulled it off really well. There's a hidden talent in there you know :) xx
